Dear members of St. Mark’s Church,
What a joyful time our Easter Day
celebrations provided! The 50-day season of celebration
has only begun, and I pray that all of this time will be
crowned with joy. Most especially, my hope is that we
will continue to grow in the knowledge and love of the
Lord and maintain the openness to his Will that so many
gained through their observance of the disciplines of
Lent.
I want to offer a word of thanks
for all of the kind seasonal greetings I and my family
have received. The little Easter basket of goodies and
good wishes left at my office door is a very kind
expression of your love and support. I also want to say
a special “thank you” to the Altar Guild and all who
served in special roles in the liturgies of Holy Week
and Easter. Everything—the adornment of the building,
the ceremonial precision, the lovely music, the
excellent readings, the participation of the
congregation—everything contributed to our wonderful
experience of the glory of God revealed in our risen
Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank you all, and God richly bless
us in these glorious days. Alleluia.
