Guilds
St. Gilbert's Guild
St. Gilbert's Guild supports the clergy in assuring
that the Daily Office is said each day at St. Mark's.
Members of this Guild are especially helpful by reading
Morning and Evening Prayer when the clergy are away for
vacations, retreats, meetings, and regular days off.
Those who read the Daily Office as a rule of Life are
encouraged to join and assist in providing this service
to our Parish family.
St. Monnica's Guild
The Guild offers intercessory prayer and maintains
prayer lists for use in corporate worship and individual
intercession.
Brotherhood of St. Andrew
The Brotherhood of Saint Andrew is a men's ministry
of the church. It's goal is to bring men to Christ
through observance of three basic disciplines - prayer,
study and service.
Altar Guild and Flower Guild
The Altar Guild is entrusted with the responsibility of
assisting the clergy in caring for the altar and all
items that are used during our worship. Altar Guild work
is a labor of love offered to God, not just a chore that
must be done. If you like to polish, clean, put things
in order, pay attention to details and stay in the
background, the Altar Guild is an excellent ministry for
you. The Flower Guild prepares the flowers and greens
for the decoration of the altar. Special service is
required during the festival seasons such as the
"Greening" of the Church for Christmas and preparations
for Holy Week.
Acolytes and Adult Servers
This group consists of the acolytes, lectors, lay
eucharistic ministers and ushers of the parish. Servers
must be regular in attendance for worship and reliable
in scheduled service.
